January 14 – 16, 2011 the meeting for the Florida State Winnie Gators was held at Central Florida Fairgrounds near Orlando, FL. Several coaches arrived a few days early to spend time with friends. For the weekend we had a total of 52 coaches registered. Thursday, at 4:00pm Happy Hour was enjoyed by all, and after dinner at local restaurants many members came back to the hall for games and cards.

Friday morning at 8:00am 48 people boarded a bus we chartered to take us to the Tampa RV Supershow! Everyone spread out to visit new coaches at dealers, and check out the vendors selling a variety of things we just can’t do without! At 2:30pm we boarded the bus and returned to the fairgrounds. Along the way we did games, awarded prizes and had some good snacks.

Happy Hour commenced at 4:00pm, some of our volunteers sold tickets and we awarded 3 money raffle prizes to the lucky winners! Dinner was served at 6:00pm, and Bingo games finished our evening activities.

Saturday morning Rainbow Catering did a great job of preparing and serving breakfast. At 9:30am the Board of Directors had a meeting with a lot of discussion concerning our March Rally. At 11:00am our General Meeting began. Our new slate of officers was voted in to be officially installed in March. Those elected are: Jerry Miller, President; Cliff & Ree Spiller, 1st Vice President; Ted & Janis Fumia, 2nd Vice President; Christine & Bob Ross, Secretary; Walter & Belinda Feldgoise, Treasurer. Congratulations to all our new officers!

Rock N Roll – our 50’s celebration kicked off at 4:00pm with several members dressed in poodle skirts, charm bracelets, jeans, t-shirts, leather jackets, and lots of fun outfits to get into the theme! 50’s music was playing while we sold tickets for a prize raffle. Members were treated to beer, wine and soft drinks and lots of prizes! We have to give a BIG THANK YOU to our faithful bartenders who always do an outstanding job! KUDOS to Dan Tuzzolo, Joe Sholtes, and Ed Tyndall!

Dinner was served at 6:00pm, followed by an Ice Cream Social! Our "volunteer dippers" were fast at work dishing out ice cream and members were invited to top off those dishes with a variety of syrups and nuts! THANKS to all you gentlemen who volunteered to help – you did an outstanding job and are our permanent "dippers"! Games and cards were played for the rest of the evening.

Sunday morning our continental breakfast was served at 8:30am before we went our separate ways. We are very excited looking ahead to our next meeting for our March 10 – 13 Rally!

Be sure you check our website: for our schedule of rallies and chapter information. Consider yourselves invited if you are able to join us at any event!
